HC Deb 04 November 1937 vol 328 cc1150-1W
Mr. Lyons

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to a circular letter to Members of Parliament, issued by a serving officer of the Scots Greys, opposing any proposed mechanisation of his unit; and whether it is the policy of the War Office to permit representations on matters of general military policy from serving officers, or other ranks, through Parliamentary channels?

Sir V. Warrender

The answer to the first part is in the affirmative. The case in question is under inquiry.
