HC Deb 04 November 1937 vol 328 c1132W
Colonel Baldwin-Webb

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that Mrs. Wilson, whose husband was killed in France and who has resided for 30 years at 1/51, Longmore Street, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, with her daughter and grandchild is under notice to quit by the Birmingham Corporation; that the alternative accommodation offered is either a considerable distance away or is inferior and more expensive; and will he take steps to enable Mrs. Wilson to continue to live in her existing house and also to prevent the occupants of a house, her next-door neighbours, from being similarly dispossessed?

Sir K. Wood

I was not previously aware of the facts to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers, but I am making inquiries and will let him know the result.
