asked the President of the Board of Trade, on how many occasions the advisory committee appointed under the Cinematograph Films Act, 1927, has met during the three years prior to the latest convenient date; and whether he will state in general terms the purpose of such meetings on each occasion?

Twelve meetings of the Cinematograph Films Advisory Committee have been held during the three years ended July last. At II of the meetings, quota defaults were considered. At four of them a draft report on proposed amendments of the 1927 Act was also under consideration and at nine meetings applications for registration of films for renters' quota on the ground of special exhibition value were before the Committee.

asked the President of the Board of Trade how many meetings have been held by the Advisory Committee on Films during the last 12 months; and what was the average attendance at such meetings and the total number of members of this committee?

Five meetings of the Cinematograph Films Advisory Committee have been held during the last 12 months. The number of members of the committee is 13 and the average attendance at those meetings was 8.4.
