HC Deb 03 November 1937 vol 328 c926W
Sir A. Wilson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the Royal Commission on Inventions held its last meeting; whether its final report has yet been submitted; and, if so, when it will be published?

Lieut.-Colonel Colville

The last formal hearing before the Commission took place some three and a half years ago; there were, however, subsequent meetings of the Commission's Investigating Committee, and it was not until a considerably later date that certain possible claims could be regarded as unlikely to fructify. I understand that the Commission's final report was signed last month and is on the point of being submitted. Early publication will follow.
