I am not, therefore, in a position to give separate figures of the Membership of the seven unregistered organisations included in the figures, but their total Membership
34Wthe provisions of the Trade Union Acts, to make annual returns, including particulars of their Membership, to the Chief Registrar of Friendly Societies. The Membership of these unions at the end of 1935; as stated in the returns, as shown below:
at the end of 1935 was 69,980, including 63,414 males and 6,566 females. The organisations included in this group are as follows: Original Society of Paper Makers; Typographical Association; Scottish Typograhical Association; National Society of Operative Printers and Assistants; Printers' Managers and Overseers' Association; Institute of Journalists; Book Edge Gilders' Trade Society (London).
