§ Mr. Sutcliffeasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he can give the House any information regarding the proposed visit of a Japanese economic mission to this country; and whether the mission is connected with the export of textile goods?
§ Captain WallaceThe Japanese Economic Mission proposes to visit London early in July to return the visit made to Japan by the Federation of British Industries Mission. The mission intends also to visit the United States of America and Germany. It is being sent by the Japan Economic Federation and it has the support of the Japanese Government. It is understood that one of the 12 Members of the mission will be connected with the Japanese Textile Industry but it would not appear that the mission is specially connected with the export of textile goods.
