HC Deb 03 May 1937 vol 323 c801W
Mr. McEntee

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the petition asking for a public inquiry into the administration of the Exmouth Urban District Council; and what action he proposes to take?

Sir K. Wood

Yes, Sir, in view of the statutory right of a local Government elector to attend the audit of the council's accounts and to take objection to these accounts, I came to the conclusion that there was no need to hold a special investigation and some months ago I so informed the persons who had approached me in the matter.
