HC Deb 25 March 1937 vol 321 c3090W
Mr. De la Bère

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that cases exist of manufacturers who make synthetic or semi-synthetic products labelled as genuine fruit juice, or prepared fruit juice, which contain no foundation of real fruit; and whether he will take steps to prevent such mis-description?

Sir K. Wood

On the facts as stated, it would appear that the matter can be dealt with by the responsible local authorities under the Food and Drugs (Adulteration) Act, 1928, and I do not think, therefore, that any special action on my part is necessary.
