HC Deb 25 March 1937 vol 321 c3081W
Mr. De la Bère

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, seeing that certain countries such as Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Esthonia have in the past used their geographical position to obtain favourable trade agreements, and that trade agreements with these countries are generally commercially unfavourable to this country, he will review these treaties with a view to their denunciation?

Captain Wallace

I am unable to accept the premises on which my hon. Friend's question is based. I would add, however, that the position of the export trade of this country with the countries he mentions is kept under constant review.
