During the 10 years ended 1936 the aggregate declared value of the refined and unrefined sugar imported into the United Kingdom and consigned from foreign countries amounted to £105 million.

Mr. Remer

asked the President of the Board of Trade what were the countries of origin of the foreign sugar imported into this country during 1936; and what was the balance of trade between those countries and Great Britain during the same period?
