HC Deb 24 March 1937 vol 321 c2913W
Lieut.-Colonel Sandeman Allen

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will inquire into the circumstances of the granting of a licence to the L.U.R. at York for an additional vehicle weighing about four tons for their base at Malton, where a licence had been refused to them by the appeal tribunal two days previously for a vehicle weighing two and a-half tons; and why the request by road operators to make representations in view of the decision of the appeal tribunal was refused by the licensing authority?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

If any interested party feels that the authority, which I must again emphasise is not under my control, has failed to deal with a case properly, his remedy is to apply to the appeal tribunal or to the courts, as the case may be.
