HC Deb 18 March 1937 vol 321 c2288W
Mr. Touche

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the recommendation of the stopping places advisory committee that the old town hall at Reigate should be demolished in order to increase traffic facilities; and whether, in view of the resentment that is felt by many persons at this proposed destruction of a building of historical interest and architectural value, he will make a statement on the subject?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

Any decision would lie with the town council.
