Mr. W. Joseph Stewart

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will state the number of gallons of crude oil, motor spirit, and lubricating oil imported into this country during 1934, 1935, and 1936, and the amount produced at home?

The following statement gives the required information, so far as it is available:

There is no home production of lubricating oil from indigenous materials, and the home production of crude petroleum is negligible.
