The Committee consists of
Sir Hardman Lever, Bt., K.C.B.
Mr. P. Ashley Cooper, and
Mr. H. O. Judd, C.B.E.
Sir Hardman Lever was at one time Financial Secretary to the Treasury, having previously served in the Ministry of Munitions, where he was concerned inter alia with costing work upon contracts. Mr. Ashley Cooper is a director of the Bank of England and Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company; he was a member of the May Economy Committee in 1931. Mr. Judd is an expert on cost accounting and held important Government posts concerned with contract finance during the late War.
