HC Deb 15 March 1937 vol 321 c1659W
Mr. Silverman

asked the Minister of Health whether he will state the number of occupational, industrial, and company schemes for superannuation and old-age pensions now in operation; the number of insured workers under such schemes; and the total number of employees affected?

Sir K. Wood

There are no comprehensive statistics available as to the extent to which provision exists for the superannuation of employed persons. Figures are, however, available as to certain special groups, such as the Civil Service, the Forces of the Crown, Police, Teachers and employees of local authorities and certain statutory companies, and I should be pleased to supply the hon. Member with these if he so desires.
