§ Mr. Parkerasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the difficulty of refuting the defence allowed in the case of the emission of smoke, other than black smoke, by Section 103, Sub-section (3) of the Public Health Act, 1936, and as the said Act, according to the Consolidation Committee, is intended as a preparation for more substantial amendment of the law, he is prepared to take steps to bring the law concerning smoke, other than black smoke, into line with black smoke?
§ Sir K. WoodNo, Sir. I cannot hope that any general measure of agreement would be secured for a proposal of this kind.
