HC Deb 04 March 1937 vol 321 c554W
Sir G. Mitcheson

asked the Minister of Transport if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the majority of pedestrians appear to be unaware that they do not enjoy any priority at pedestrian crossings which are controlled by traffic lights or by police constables; and will he consider the removal of the studs and beacons at such points which tend to increase rather than to diminish danger to pedestrians?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to the hon. Member for Rushcliffe (Mr. Assheton) on 10th February, of which I am sending him a copy.
