HC Deb 03 March 1937 vol 321 c374W
Sir W. Edge

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any British Colonial Governments, apart from Malta, have within the last 12 months purchased any foreign coal; and, if so, under what circumstances?

Mr. Ormsby-Gore

No, Sir. I am not aware of any purchase of foreign coal having been made during the past year by any Colonial Government, apart from the case referred to by my hon. Friend.
