Mr. BurģinI am fully alive to the need for improving travelling facilities wherever possible, but I am informed that, owing to the heavy financial commitments undertaken by the London Passenger Transport Board and the Main Line Railway Companies in connection with the new works programme already announced, they cannot consider any further proposals at the present time.
