HC Deb 02 June 1937 vol 324 c1020W
Mr. R. C. Morrison

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has considered the request from the association representing the off-Licence trade to receive a deputation to discuss Clause 6 of the Finance Bill; and whether he intends to do so before the Committee stage?

Lieut.-Colonel Colville

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; with regard to the second part of the question, my right hon. Friend has examined the points which the association have made in their letter to him and he will be prepared to deal with them in debate if necessary; but he is informing the association that he regrets he does not see his way to receive a deputation.
