§ Sir P. SassoonThe Government Hospitality Fund was created, and is authorised, to deal with the entertainment3116W of guests from overseas. Entertainment is only extended to residents in this country in order to make effective this primary object. Any further definition of the principle on which guests are selected must detract from the dignity and grace of Government entertainment, and I trust that, like my predecessors, I shall not be pressed on the matter. I can, however, assure the hon. Member that regard is not had to considerations of political party.
