§ Mr. BurginIt is impracticable to standardise the timing of traffic light signals of the vehicle actuated type as they are designed to meet traffic requirements and must, therefore, vary according to the demands of traffic. I hope, however, to issue shortly a circular to highway authorities with a view to standardising the amber period in these signals.
