§ Captain WallaceThe only information I have on this subject is derived from Lloyd's reports. The "Barrhill" was reported on 18th July to be on fire 10 miles off Cape Santa Maria. The latest information is that she has reached an anchorage in the bay about one mile from Montevideo and that her crew have gone ashore. I cannot yet say whether any of the officers or crew have been injured or whether their belongings have been damaged, but I will send the hon. Member further information as soon as it is available.
