§ Mr. Ormsby-GoreAs indicated in the statement which appeared in the Press on the 30th June, the Rhodes-Livingstone Institute of Central African Studies is to be managed by a trust. I am satisfied that such an institute could prosecute many useful inquiries in Northern Rhodesia and I hope that the appeal for funds for the trust will be successful. The scope of the institute, and the amount of the contribution of the Government of Northern Rhodesia must depend on the public response.
