§ Mr. Toucheasked the Minister of Transport whether he will state the result of his inquiries into the causes of motor accidents on the main Brighton road between Star Inn and Church Lane, Hooley; and whether he has considered the advisability of the re-imposition of a 30-mile speed limit between these points?
§ Mr. BurginMy inquiries do not show that accidents on this section of road have been due to excessive speed and I am not satisfied on the evidence at present before me that the re-imposition of the 30-milesper-hour speed limit upon it would be justified. I will, however, continue to watch the position.
