§ Sir S. HoareI am glad to say that the Government are now in a position to confer with the organisations of local authorities concerned in this important matter. Invitations are accordingly about to be issued to these associations to send representatives to a preliminary meeting with my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Scotland, and myself, and I hope that it may be possible to arrange for this meeting to take place in the immediate future.
