HC Deb 07 July 1937 vol 326 c366W
Mr. Jenkins

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to a decision of the Association of Local Government Authorities, viz., that the full cost of air raid precautions should be borne from national funds; and whether he is now in a position to make a statement on this subject?

Invitations are accordingly about to be issued to these associations to send representatives to a preliminary meeting with my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Scotland, and myself, and I hope that it may be possible to arrange for this meeting to take place in the immediate future.
