§ Mr. Lennox-Boydasked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether he is aware that in the last 15 years the cattle population in Swaziland has suffered a sharp decline, while by comparison in adjoining Union areas it has shown an increase; and whether he can state the extent of that increase?

MacDonaldWhile there has been some slight decrease in the number of European-owned cattle in Swaziland during the period in question, the total number of cattle in the territory since 1921 has almost doubled and overstocking in the native areas is a serious problem. I have no figures as to the position in the adjoining areas in the Union.
