asked the Minister of Transport whether he has conducted any experiments in the use of rubber road-surfacing with the object of preventing skidding and thereby decreasing the number of road accidents; and, if so, with what results?

Yes, Sir, and the results appear in a paper entitled "Road Surface Resistance to Skidding" recently published by the Stationery Office.

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has any statistics to show the reasons why road accidents in January, 1937, resulted in 73 more deaths and 285 more cases of injury than in January, 1936?
