HC Deb 17 February 1937 vol 320 cc1194-5W
Lieut.-Colonel Moore

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether his attention has been called to the proposed demolition of Loudoun Hall, one of the most ancient buildings in Ayrshire; and whether or not he proposes to approve, without amendment, the clearance orders relating to this demolition?

Mr. Elliot

I have received representations in favour of the preservation of Loudoun Hall, which is included in a clearance order made by the Town Council of Ayr. The question of confirming the order is under consideration and I am not yet in a position to say what decision will be reached.
