§ Sir K. WoodWith the aid of the £1,000,000 grant under the Rural Water 49W Supplies Act, 1934, schemes have been undertaken for 2,250 parishes at a total cost of over £7,100,000. About one-third of the schemes have been carried out, and it is anticipated that work on the remainder will be completed by the end of 1938.
