HC Deb 04 February 1937 vol 319 c1791W
Captain Cazalet

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs what is the total amount of the claims of the Newfoundland Government, and of firms and individuals working in Newfoundland, against the Spanish Clearing House Fund?

Mr. M. MacDonald

I am informed by the Governor that no debts are due to the Newfoundland Government from persons in Spain. The Governor states that the outstanding sums due to Newfoundland exporters from Spanish debtors and payable through the Anglo-Spanish Clearing Office amount to approximately £76,000.
