asked the Postmaster-General the amount of overtime worked by the staff at the money order department during the years 1935 and 1936; the number of persons employed on overtime; and to what extent has the staff increased during the same period?

The amount of overtime performed by the staff of the money order department during the year 1935 was 76,163 hours and during 1936 114,050 hours. Practically the whole staff was affected. At the end of 1935 the total number employed was 2,716 and at the end of 1936, 2,753, an increase of 37.
