§ Mr. Hore-BelishaSuch extensions are not permitted in the Regular Army. In the Territorial Army extensions up to two years at a time are permitted on the recommendation of General Officers Commanding-in-Chief, and with the approval of the Army Council. Such extensions are only granted in the interests of the Service.
