HC Deb 09 December 1937 vol 330 c584W
Sir J. Wardlaw-Milne

asked the Minister of Agriculture what is the number of convictions secured by local authorities against persons accused of removing marks of their origin from imported eggs, with a view to the sale of the eggs as home-produced, since 1st January this year; and how these figures compare with those of previous years?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

I regret to find that the information which my hon. Friend desires is not available. As proceedings under the Merchandise Marks Act, 1926, may be taken not only by local authorities, but by any person or body, I am afraid it would not be possible to obtain complete and accurate information on the subject.
