§ Sir S. HoareThe Regulations governing the award of this medal preclude its issue to serving officers and consequently no officers at present attached to Swansea Prison have received the medal. In the last 12 years five awards of the medal have been made to officers on retirement from Swansea Prison, namely, three chief officers, one principal officer and one officer.
