asked the Minister of Transport whether he will state the number of road motor vehicles licensed for the conveyance of goods by each of the classes of licences described as "A," "B," and "C"?

The number of goods vehicles (excluding trailers) authorised under Carriers' Licences current at 30th June, 1937, was:

Under "A"* licences 91,101
Under "B" licences 53,775
Under "C" licences 362,380
* Including "A" contract licences.
