(d) The amount of tinned condensed milk (i) imported; and (ii) produced in this country cannot be stated but it is known that very large quantities of condensed milk are used in manufacture and are probably purchased in bulk. The figures of production given for 1935 include the output of certain firms not comprised in the figures for earlier years and are, therefore, not comparable with the latter.
Note.—The figures of imports for 1936 and of production for 1935 are provisional. Also the figures of imports are in some cases not strictly comparable with those of production.
