§ Lieut.-Colonel Mooreasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in connection with the Imperial Conference to be held in London this year, he will consider the desirability of holding a special Colonial conference, to which representatives of the leading industrial and agricultural interests in the Colonies would be invited?
§ Mr. Ormsby-GoreI hope that I and my advisers will have the opportunity of discussing many questions with representatives from the Colonial Empire who will be in London during the next few months, but I do not think that time could possibly be found for a formal conference of the nature suggested during the current year, having regard to the pressure on all concerned of unavoidable public engagements.
