HC Deb 26 November 1936 vol 318 cc579-80W
Mr. LEWIS

asked the Home Secretary what steps the present Government have already taken or have now under consideration for bringing into operation the provisions of the Act of 1928 for fixing the date of Easter?

Sir J. SIMON

His Majesty's Government would be glad to reopen this matter at any time if it appeared that any useful purpose would be served by doing so, but, so far as I am aware, there has been no change in the circumstances since it was last under active consideration two years ago.
