HC Deb 20 November 1936 vol 317 c2078W
Captain CAZALET

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will ask our Consul in Leningrad to give full information as regards the number of calls by British ships in that port during the past few years and up to the most convenient recent date in 1936, and to procure from any available sources similar figures in regard to other Russian ports?

Dr. BURGIN

I am not aware of any source from which figures could be obtained showing the number of calls by British vessels at Russian ports during the past few years, and I do not think that figures relating to Leningrad alone would necessarily be typical.
