§ Sir P. SASSOONI have been asked to reply as my hon. and gallant Friend's question appears to relate to the period before Lieut.-General Dill took over command. The number of British casualties, excluding the police, during the period from 15th April to 14th September, 1936, was 121, including 21 killed in action or died of wounds. As regards the last part of the question it is not proposed to depart in this instance from the customary practice of not publishing despatches relating to local operations.
