Mr. THORNE

asked the Home Secretary whether he can give the House any information in regard to the two accidents that have taken place at Earl's Court, one on Monday, 2nd November, when scaffolding and a concrete floor collapsed, and the other on Thursday, 5th November, when a plank broke, throwing two men a distance of 20 feet; and whether he can state the causes of these accidents and the number of persons injured?

Mr. LLOYD

I am informed that on the occasion of the accident on the 2nd instant seven workmen were injured, and on the 5th instant two. The circumstances relating to these accidents are under investigation and I am not yet in a position to make any statement as to their causes.
