§ Mr. GALLACHERasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will include in the terms of reference of the Royal Commission, which it is proposed to appoint to investigate the causes of unrest and grievances of Jews and Arabs in Palestine, an inquiry into the conditions obtaining in the gaols of Palestine, and especially as regards the treatment of political prisoners, whether Jewish or Arab; and whether the Royal Commission will be requested to report fully on the Palestinian police force, its origin, and the methods of and qualifications for recruitment of this force?
