HC Deb 21 May 1936 vol 312 c1392W
Mr. BULL

asked the Home Secretary whether his Department has any statistics showing the number of accidents to children caused by the high combustibility of celluloid, especially in connection with celluloid toys; and whether his advisers consider that any further precautions are essential?

Sir J. SIMON

I have no such statistics but accidents of the kind have been brought to the notice of the Home Office from time to time. I am afraid that further precautions would be very difficult to secure and would refer to the reply given to-day to the hon. Member for Bradford Central (Mr. Leach).
