HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 cc1207-8W
Mr. RICHARDS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Indian. Legislative Assembly has yet had any opportunity of discussing the Niemeyer Report; whether he is aware that such an opportunity was sought by the Indian Opposition in the Assembly; and will he inquire as to the grounds upon which the Government of India refused that request?

Mr. BUTLER

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave on the 18th May to the hon. Member for Consett (Mr. David Adams), to which I have nothing to add.
