BROWNAt 4th November, 1935, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 106,282 married women registered as unemployed at Employment Exchanges in Great Britain; of these, 87,886 were applying for insurance benefit or unemployment allowances. Separate statistics as to the number of claimants for benefit are not available.
