Sir J. DAVIDSONTithe rentcharge upon Duchy lands, other than those recently purchased, has with few exceptions been redeemed. His Majesty, in Right of His Duchy, does not own any tithe rentcharge apart from an amount of £55 commuted value. Subject to detailed investigation and to the assumption that all the land concerned is agricultural land, the effect of the Tithe Bill upon Duchy revenues is limited to an estimated net reduction of about £100 in the annual charge.
