asked the Minister of Health whether the has received any recent Reports from the alkali inspectors of his department with reference to the preventable nuisance caused through the emission of dust from the cement factories on the banks of the Thames; and whether he proposes to take any further action?

Yes, Sir. Consultations have been held with the managers of these undertakings and as a result plant for the arrest of dust has been, or will shortly be, installed at all the principal works concerned. The matter will continue to receive constant attention.
