§ Mr. W. S. MORRISONA claim was received from the Institution of Professional Civil Servant last year that women in certain scientific and technical grades should be granted the same scales of pay as had been agreed for men. This claim was refused. A further claim has recently been received. The general principles governing the payment of women in the Civil Service apply in scientific and technical grades as well as in the other common classes.
