§ Mr. BOOTHBYasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has considered the Report of the Committee of Investigation for Scotland on the complaints of distributors in the area of the Scottish Milk Marketing Board, against the scale of prices fixed by the board for the year 1935–36; whether any recommendation has been made by the Committee with regard to the variation of this scale; and what action he proposes to take?
§ Sir G. COLLINSThe answer to the first two parts of the question is in the affirmative. On a careful examination of the position in the light of the Committee of Investigation's Report I have come to the conclusion that there is no necessity to make adjustments in the interests of distributors in the scale of prices fixed by the board for the year ending 30th September next and that the prescribed scale does not unduly favour the general body of producers. I have accordingly decided that the prescribed scale should remain in operation. As my hon. Friend will appreciate, the circumstances of this industry and the relations between all the interests con-'corned will fall for review when the Report of the Reorganisation Commission for Great Britain is available.
